New York – Mayor Bloomberg No. 8 For The Second Year In a Row On Forbes 400

New York – Mayor Michael Bloomberg has once again landed on the top 10 of Forbes Magazine’s annual list of the 400 wealthiest Americans.

The mayor ranked number eight for the second year in a row.

His estimated net worth is $17.5 billion, which is actually down from $20 billion in 2008.

The wealthiest American is Microsoft founder Bill Gates, who is worth $50 billion. The full list here

Forbes reports for only the fifth time since 1982 that the collective net worth of America’s richest has declined, blaming faltering financial markets and lower real estate prices.
